The Ark Project provides temporary housing to otherwise homeless men and women in the Wirral area and aids them to overcome their particular difficulties in order to find a greater amount of stability in housing.
The project operates on limited funds, which means that various donations are welcome. In particular, the following things are needed:
- Non-perishable foods - tinned food, dried food packets (noodles, rice, &c), or longer-lasting fresh vegetables.
- Toiletries - soap, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, hairbrushes, combs, bath sponges/loofahs, &c.
- Clothes - both everyday clothes and the sort of clothes that might be suitable for a job interview. Being unable to afford the latter can be an unnecessary barrier to finding work.
All of these can be left in the receptacle in church.
Monetary Donations
Donations of money can be made directly to the Ark project or cash donations can be given to Mrs Irina Burnip at church in an envelope marked "The Ark". The Ark Project is a registered charity, which enables it to claim back the tax on all donations made by UK tax-payers. If giving cash, please place it in a sealed envelope bearing your name and full address, and label it for the Ark Project.
