Pilgrimage to St Werburgh's Shrine, Chester Cathedral - 02/18/2017
The First Pilgrimage to the Shrine of St Werburgh in Chester took place in Saturday 18th February 2017. The pilgrims gathered at about 10:45 in the Lady Chapel just near the Shrine. The Chester Cathedral staff were very pleased to welcome Fr Paul and about 20 pilgrims. there was a blessing of the waters and a Moleben to St Werburgh. This included a beautiful canon to St Werburgh composed especially by Reader Isaac Lambertson (Fr Joseph) who recently reposed. Next year, it is hoped to make this a much bigger occasion.

Our dear friend, Mother Photina, needed some new monastic garments. The St Barbara Trust, which supports monastics and gets income mainly from the parish book stall, funded the making of these at the Monastery of St Elisabeth in Minsk. They were posted out to her and blessed on the Feast of Pokrov, the patronal feast of her Skete. At the same service, the Priest Monk John was awarded a Gold Cross. Mother Photina supports our parish with her prayers and visits from time to time to give spiritual support to those who need it. Visitos to the Pokrov Skete are welcome by arrangement, it is near Le Mans in France.
Reader Chad and Aidan Draper, Trustees of the St Barbara Trust are happy to recieve donations for its important work of supporing monastic life.

Chad's ordination - 08/28/2015
On Friday 28th August Chad Newman was ordained as a Reader by Archbishop Mark during the Hours at the cathedral of the Dormition of The Mother of God, Chiswick. The photos below are not quite in the right order due to my limited skills.
At the same Liturgy Father Paul was raised to the rank of Archpriest.
