The cycle of Sunday services begins with Vespers on Saturday evening. This is usually at 5.30 p.m. at St Elisabeth's church in Wallasey but mainly in the late spring or summer so please e-mail or telephone first to make sure.
The Divine Liturgy is usually served every Sunday at St Elisabeth's, Wallasey. The Liturgy is preceded by the Hours, beginning at approximately 9.45 a.m. Confessions are heard before the Liturgy, and tea, coffee, and light refreshments are usually served afterwards. On the final Sunday of every month, the Liturgy is followed by a bring-and-share luncheon.
This is subject to some variation so please consult the calendar before setting off.
When one of the Twelve Great Feasts falls on a day other than Saturday or Sunday, it is usually not celebrated with a Divine Liturgy on the day but rather Vespers the evening before. There may also be other services from time to time at Little St Elisabeth's chapel in Birkenhead. Please check the monthly calendar for full details.
